StoryPool
Under the name "StoryPool", a cooperation between the teaching laboratory (Universitätskolleg) and the HUL began in May 2020 as a continuation of the BMBF-funded OPTion project. Over the past two years, "PatternPool", an open access platform for the collection and dissemination of proven teaching and learning practice, which goes far beyond a mere collection of methods, has been established in OPTion. The aim of the cooperation between the UK and the HUL is to utilise the experience and results of the teaching lab projects using the findings and results of OPTion, to further develop the existing pattern concept into a structured story concept and to combine it with teaching lab objectives.
In the "StoryPool" project, the experiences from the teaching lab projects are transferred to the systematic pattern structure and further processed in a narrative and video-based manner. The standardised structuring according to the pattern approach makes it much easier to find and receive the concepts. The innovative and tried-and-tested "good practices" are systematised in this way and can be found and compared more easily by interested teachers. In the spirit of open content, the resulting structured stories are made freely available on a permanent basis. All entries are provided with individual DOIs and can therefore be referenced.
The planned use of video to implement the "story" concept also increases the opportunity to make the teachers' experiences tangible, to communicate the concepts behind the scenarios in an understandable way and to achieve a motivating presentation. Such structured narratives from teaching practice create a new opportunity to disseminate and sustainably utilise the knowledge gained by our teachers from the funded projects.
