Alumni surveys
By surveying graduates one to two years after graduation (three to four years in the teaching profession), a wide range of information is obtained, for example on the career path of the graduates, on the phase of career entry, on the competences learned during their studies and on the competences required in the profession.
Surveys of graduates provide answers as to...
…which professional and occupational fields graduates work in,
…how income and working hours are distributed,
…whether the professional activity matches the program content
…and how graduates assess their degree program in retrospect.
The results of these surveys are used for quality assurance and development of the degree program. For example, program directors can use the results to check whether their ideas about skills acquisition and professional fields of application match the practical experience of graduates.
