ESSYST
Qualified, competent and motivated employees are a key success factor in ensuring the innovative strength, performance and competitiveness of companies. Against this background, supplemented by the guiding principle of lifelong learning, the project team has dedicated itself to the goal of a scientifically sound conceptualisation and monitoring of in-company further training measures in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For the first time, holistic, systematised further training work is to be made possible by means of an easy-to-use, IT-supported application platform ("assistance system" as a demonstrator). This is guaranteed by five components to be developed, which are intended to support companies throughout the entire continuing education management process.
1st component - Education Graph
The Education Graph is based on an algorithm that is developed using didactic concepts and findings. This represents the core innovation and central component of the research project. The algorithm is intended to systematise existing training measures and materials and recommend them in line with the individual needs of employees.
Component 2 - Content management
Content management supports the user in the systematic recording and management of training materials. The information and materials stored are used by the "Education Graph" component to calculate a needs-based training programme.
3rd component - requirements management
Requirements management will support the user both in the systematic recording and management of requirements for a planned training programme. These organisational, participant-specific or social planning variables provide the requirements needed as a basis for calculating needs-based continuing education programmes using the "Education Graph" component.
Component 4 - Quality assurance
This component supports quality assurance along the entire training management process. It also ensures the continuous improvement of in-house training work on the basis of scientifically sound information, data and key figures.
Component 5 - Assistance system
The assistance system, implemented as an IT demonstrator, guarantees comprehensive support for SMEs in their day-to-day training work. The four components above are functionally harmonised within the system and suitably aggregated in terms of their ease of use.
