About tabletBS:

The project "tabletBS - Use of Tablets in Teaching at Vocational Schools" aims to further develop teaching at vocational schools, specifically vocational grammar schools in Baden-Württemberg. In the sense of a 1:1 equipping of learners and teachers from different schools with different focal points, the question of how tablets can be used to organise learning processes - also in terms of individual support - is to be investigated as part of the evaluation.

The school trial and the associated evaluation started in the 2015/16 school year and will end at the end of the 2021/22 school year. The participating schools will enter the project successively in three tranches. The evaluation started at the beginning of the project and was initially scheduled to run for three years. Due to the enormous amount of data and in order to gain a comprehensive insight into the overall development, the evaluation was extended to a total duration of five years until the end of the 2019/20 school year.

The evaluation will take place in a large-scale longitudinal section over a period of five years with an integrated cross-section and potentially up to 5,000 participants. Regular standardised surveys to evaluate the development will be supplemented by various qualitative surveys with selected focal points.
