Research orientation in the introductory phase of studies (FideS) - Transfer
As part of the FideS accompanying research project, a total of 40 people responsible for 19 projects on research-based learning in the introductory phase of studies at various universities throughout Germany have been interviewed about their projects since 2016. The aim of this survey was to obtain information about existing forms of research-based learning projects, the challenges they face and their solutions, the practice of evaluating research-based learning and the use of digital media in research-based learning.
These results from the first project phase are now to be made easily accessible to the community as part of FideS-Transfer. Various ways of transfer are planned
- Case vignettes as an instrument for documenting and communicating results of (recurring) problems as well as solutions in connection with research orientation in the introductory phase of studies,
- a user-optimised collection of materials combined with the creation of a central website for the provision of FideS transfer resources
- a collection of digital tools developed for the needs of research-based learning and
- Peer learning in the context of networking and workshops.
In various sub-projects (with the universities of Potsdam and Kaiserslautern) we are also looking at how research-based learning can be evaluated, how the results can be processed in a subject-sensitive way and how we can help to support needs that arise in the context of research-based learning projects with digital tools.
You can read about the history of our joint project in the introductory chapter of the FideS publication "Forschendes Lernen in der Studieneingangsphase" (Reinmann/Lübcke/Heudorfer 2019).
All tools, materials developed by us and current information can be found on the Insel der Forschung.
