Academic teaching has its own challenges. These arise at very different levels: in direct interaction with students, in the planning and design of courses, in the development of study programmes, etc. These challenges affect individual lecturers, departments or entire faculties.
The HUL offers university didactic consulting (advice) on these topics. We provide advice based on our research findings and our teaching experience.
In addition, we offer consulting for teaching research and see ourselves as a cooperation partner in the sense of the „Scholarship of Teaching and Learning“.
All lecturers, researchers and those responsible for teaching programmes and digitisation at the HUL provide consultations within the limits of their time available. Please feel free to contact us with your specific request via "Contact" or contact our staff at the HUL directly.
During the consultation, we will discuss the questions you bring in a goal-oriented manner. Together, we will reflect on your previous experiences as well as potential solutions and implementation steps, and we will discuss future course of actions. In this way, you will gain insights through the consultation that will help you expand your range of actions in the respective situation. We ensure that the solutions found are contextually appropriate, suit you, and are also feasible.
Consultation sessions are free of charge for instructors at UHH and are, of course, subject to confidentiality.
