Follow the drivers - this paradigm perfectly describes our design approach of how to set up, revisit and advance our learning assignment praxiSDG! praxiSDG is a service-learning format. IIt brings together SDG-related needs and experiences of civil-society organizations with students' expertises in interdisciplinary contexts. Students narrow complex project-partner-organizations' topics down to action-driven team topics focusing on one particular SDG. Impacts are generated at different levels, most obviously for participants through didactically-guided reflections of sustainability-related action. Project-partner organizations gain from the service-oriented mindset of students committing themselves to real-world challenges.
We consider learning through praxiSDG a reciprocal journey of shared experiences. We are eager to discover new learning horizons that turn learners into enablers, activists or change agents. While engaging with our sustainability-addressing service-learning format over the last years, we have noticed that certain driving forces provide promising opportunities for evolution. Before setting sails, you'll need orientation in terms of sailing directions that work as planning guide for your endeavour prior to departure. Once enroute boosting drivers need to be carefully considered. Thus, let's take a deeper look into our praxiSDG.
Inspired by the potential of driver analysis, we are intrigued by embedding our observations into a design-based context. SoTL-related research, documented steps of format evolution, corporate banana-principle analogy, published next practices, interactive hub results and other data resources are regarded contributing means of identifying critical drivers for advancing our praxiSDG format. That is to the effect of bringing our ESD agenda reasonably further with spirit, energy, purpose and impact.
The discussion will be held in German or English - depending on which language the audience prefers.
